OAN: these are old pictures on the website, because the rooms do not look like this. They’re clean but clearly not the ones used on the website
The check in was smooth and lady was very nice. I get to the room and it’s clean. I’m about to iron and no iron. I call to the front desk and they don’t have one and the manager is gone and I have to wait until the next day so they can check in another closet. Well I had an event the next morning and needed to iron. There are vacancies at the location so I ask if I could use the iron from a vacant room and bring it back once I was done using it. I was told “no we can’t do that !” Like if no one is in the room why can’t they just accommodate me for 20 minutes. So, I had to leave my room and go to the local Walmart to purchase one.
Comfortable bed. Breakfast was decent. Not the cleanest place in the world but not the worst either. Carpet pretty stained, shower curtain had mold, coffee maker had a used filter with old coffee grains in it, not sure if the sheets had been changed our not.
We checked in and asked for a room in the front. I was told nothing was available on the front. I took the Keys to a room in the back and on opening the door it was immediately apparent it was a smoking room. I went back to the office to request a non-smoking room. There was another clerk on duty and she gave us a non-smoking room on the front. The WiFi didn't work till the third day. The cable TV didn't work the second day. The ice maker never worked. Getting to the included breakfast until 9am we discovered they were out of biscuits and muffins and the gravy and waffle mix were very watery. And by the way, the water pressure was very weak. We will not return.
I'll say first that the bed was extremely comfortable; best thing about my stay. The room was clean but you could tell detail was not one of their strong points. Not dusted under tv, dirty handy prints on trim & door. Towel rack bent down. Also the bathrooms top door hinge was not properly screwed in, so door didn't shut. The pool had not been summarized. It was green. Now it sounds like I didn't enjoy my stay, I know. The fact is, I did. The room was acceptable for the price. I would stay here again if not nothing more than the bed & friendly clerk. Also, it did look like the owners were trying to do something about the pool.
When we checked into our room it was 90 degrees out and it was 9 pm . We walked into our room and it was like a sauna in there. The AC was not turned on and it took forever to get room cold. After traveling all day we just wanted to go to sleep but it made it very difficult being so hot. We will definitely not be staying at this establishment again.
